12th Microsymposium on Small RNAs
The 12th Microsymposium on Small RNAs will take place May 26th to 28th 2017 at IMBA/IMP/GMI in Vienna, Austria. This meeting has a strong tradition to bring scientists in the broad field of small RNA biology, but also related RNA fields, together, with an emphasis on junior PIs, postdocs, and PhD students.
Over the years, the Microsymposium on Small RNAs has developed into one of the most prestigious meetings in this field, and especially the open and dynamic atmosphere of the meeting make it a great event.
Please note that we have shifted the meeting on purpose to the weekend directly preceding the annual RNA Society meeting, which takes place this year in Prague, a 4 hour train ride away from Vienna (https://www.rnasociety.org/conferences/rna-2017/). We hope that this will allow people to attend both meetings.
Like in previous years, attendance for any registered participant is FREE OF CHARGE thanks to the support from IMBA, IMP and GMI as well as sponsoring societies and companies.
We have assembled again a very exciting program with outstanding scientists and speakers, which you can see in the attached poster.
To keep up with the tradition, the conference includes a PHD STUDENT WORKSHOP.
From the submitted abstracts (until April 15th) up to ten students will be selected as speakers. Travel and accommodation for these students will be covered by us.
More information and the registration form can be found here.
The PhD workshop has so far always been a highlight of the meeting and the quality of the presentations has been outstanding!
As always, the best presentations (as elected by the invited speakers) will be awarded at the end of the conference.
We look forward to welcoming you at the Vienna Biocenter!
