2022 SCP & APMRS Best Presentation Award for Rupert Mayer
The Single Cell Proteomics & Austrian Proteomics and Metabolomics Research Symposium 2022 took place at the IMP this year. Among junior speakers, postdoc Rupert Mayer received the Best Presentation Award.
Earlier this week, Karl Mechtler hosted the Single Cell Proteomics & Austrian Proteomics and Metabolomics Research Symposium 2022 at the IMP after a first edition in 2019. The symposium featured outstanding international and national experts in the fields of Single Cell Proteomics, Proteomics and Metabolomics.
In addition to contributions of numerous leaders in these fields, participants had the opportunity to attend a plenary talk by Alexander Makarov, the biophysicist who led the team that developed the Orbitrap mass spectrometer technology.
During the conference, the five best presentations of early-career researchers in different categories were honoured by the Austrian Proteomics & Metabolomics Association, including Rupert Mayer, postdoc in the lab of Karl Mechtler, for his short talk on an optimised proteomics platform to reach extraordinary sensitivity and throughput.
