Minister visits the IMP and Vienna BioCenter

Austria's Federal Minister for Education, Science and Research (Wissensministerium), Iris Rauskala, has visited the IMP and Vienna BioCenter Core Faclitilies.

Following an introduction to IMP and the development and prospect of the Vienna BioCenter, Minister Rauskala and was given a tour of the institute and surroundings. A first stop at the lab of Elly Tanaka highlighted research on regeneration in the Mexican salamander axolotl; Thomas Heuser of the Vienna BioCenter Core Facilities then demonstrated the new transmission electron microscopy.

Apart from scientific performance and high quality of research at IMP and Vienna BioCenter, Minister Rauskala expressed appreciation for the educational endavours of the Vienna OpenLab.
