Spike protein of a SARS-CoV-2 variant

Scientists around Luisa Cochella (formerly IMP, now Johns Hopkins University) and Ulrich Elling (IMBA) repurposed SARSeq,a method that allows  SARS-CoV-2 detection. "SARSeq-S-tiling" will allow the monitoring of viral variants as they emerge and spread in populations. The new method has been made available as a preprint on medRxiv in an effort to promote a rapid uptake for a global use.
