VBC Summer School: apply by 31 January
The VBC Summer School 2018 is calling for applications by 31 January. Successful applicants will spend their summer at the Vienna BioCenter building a stepping stone for a career in molecular biology.
"Exciting and challenging" is how a 2017 participant described the Vienna BioCenter Summer School in a recently published interview. The school is a fellowship programme that enables participants to develop a research project within a research group at the Vienna Biocenter - the IMP or one of the other participating research institutes IMBA, GMI and MFPL.
To complement the lab work, summer school students also attend a lecture series given by faculty members and jointly organise a scientific symposium. All of this among ambitious peers who push, inspire and befriend each other in Vienna.
The VBC Summer School is a great opportunity for life science undergraduates or master students from around the world to improve their chances to get into leading PhD programmes. Many former participants later returned to the VBC to join its international PhD Programme.
